We will slowly begin seeing patients on a non urgent basis again. Patients with urgent needs (pain, swelling, infection, etc.) will be prioritized. Please see our written plan below:
SAFETY MEASURES FOR COVID-19
1.) Symptom Screening – We will be screening all patients by phone for symptoms or exposure and again with a written exposure questionnaire. Patients (or escorts) with symptoms or exposure will not be seen for a 14 day quarantine period.
2.) Temperature – All people will be screened for temperature upon entering the facility including patients, escorts, employees, vendors, and delivery personnel. Any person with a temperature above 100.4 will be asked to leave immediately.
3.) Mask Requirement – All people entering facility must wear masks at all times. Patients will be be instructed when to remove masks. All masks with vent ports must have coverage over vent/exhalation ports.
4.) Social distancing: All people must stay 6 feet away from each other, unless they are quarantined together. Please provide space for others. We would like to avoid or minimize use of the reception area.
Please call (248)393-1888 (LAKE ORION) or (248)969-9500 (OXFORD) upon arrival and we will let you know when to enter the practice so we may maximize social distancing.
WHAT ARE WE DOING AS INCREASED MEASURES
Aside from the procedures listed above, we are also increasing our already high standards for infection control, which have always met or exceeded MIOSHA, CDC standards and the ADA standards. We have added the following measures:
1.) All common area surfaces will be wiped on an hourly basis with a medical grade disinfectant. All treatment areas will be disinfected after every patient.
2.) All staff will be wearing surgical masks at all times. N95 masks will be worn for all surgical procedures.
3.) Air filtration systems will be placed in the treatment areas to reduce airborne matter and particulate matter.
4.) Staff will be screened daily to ensure our staff is healthy and capable of providing safe care to our patients.
Safety and Infection Control have always been our highest concern. If you have questions, please call us. We are happy to both serve your surgical needs and help you keep and feel safe.
